I find priming is best to just install a hand priming bulb in line. I also found them cheapest in the boating section of my local Fleet Farm- but even walmart carries them. Have had one on my 81 rabbit truck since 06 and on my 81 car since 07-the same ones so they don't get ruined by the diesel either.
Still need to do the brakes on my TDI but I need to wait 2 more weeks before I can get that done. Working on getting a heater installed in my JD 332 which is a diesel. JD didn't allow a heater to be added because of the thought of restricting airflow to the radiator (pulls from back to front and cab "could" restrict flow). Well-with the changes I have done that won't be an issue but I have had to figure out the parts to install to make it work. Found the JD 430 has parts that will make it work. So-I can blow snow in shorts and T-shirt soon.
Working on some of my neighbors stuff like a honda 4wheeler and kerosine space heater and I have a few parts ordered to rebuild the engine on the 2000 Chevy metro. And-one of these days-the 85 Golf will be running. Too many $$$ to get it all going at once and too cold (even in a shop) to work on it unless I NEED to work on it.
