[Vwdiesel] Quiet around here

\What I like to do is use a vacuum syringe (for sucking up gearbox oil 
and the like) to pull the fuel as close to the pump as you can get. 
 You need to make an adapter fitting to wherever you can connect, and 
use clear vinyl tubing on the suck cylinder (I find the ones from NAPA 
work better than those 2x or 3x the price) until you are getting fuel. 
 THEN connect to the pump and tow the car.  Trying to prime with the 
starter can not only use up batteries, but starters as well.
