Yeah, I'll say super good as well Doyt. 
I had an A2 for years- it was the best car I have ever owned. 
Others have had some FEATURES that by themselves were very nice, I really 
like the 1Z motor, the B5.5 handling, but pound for pound, the 1989 A2 was 
easily the most reliable, user friendly, economical car I have ever owned 
and maintained. Sold it to a friend at around 360000 miles 'cause he needed 
a reliable car. 
The A/C is a breeze to work on, mail me when you're ready to dive in, I can 
walk you through it. Start watching for a good buy on a receiver dryer too, 
you'll be changing that out if the system has no pressure. If it lived on a 
towbar, probably a rock perforated the condenser or tubing to it. 
I'd buy another good low mile A2 in a second if one came up.
