[Vwdiesel] TDI in an Allroad Quattro

Hmmm I'd forgotten about the v6 in the Touareg, but finding a wrecked
specimen would be a tall order. I see 2 listed in the whole country on
car-part.com (both halfway across the country).

The other issue with the V6 would be mating a newer engine with an older
chassis. If Wikipedia is to be trusted, the C5 chassis (Audi A6) was never
available with the 3.0 TDI, only the 2.5.

Any hints on how one goes out about finding European wrecker that's not
going to screw you?

Pat - the only way I'd consider a 1.9 would be if I could rod the heck out
of it... I know you can get quite a lot of power out of an ALH if you try,
but then I guess reliability might be an issue.

Any further info on the TX swap you mention?

Thanks,
