Scott Dewitt in Corpus Cristi. Look up advanced automotion. I've visited
with him in the past, and he get's very high reccomendations from me. Very
nice, though he is a busy guy.
He sells the complete TDI swap as well, both US and Euro versions. I
bvelieve the Euro version is the way to go, as it eliminates a few of the
"extra" systems that we get here.
BTW, most of the Allroads have auto transmissions, I'd highly recommend
replacing at least the torque converter during the swap. Common failure
item. If you can find a 6-speed one, that's the way to go, but they are
somewhat rare.
I'd take a 6-speed with a 1.9 ALH, plenty of torque. Can't imagine it would
be slower than the 52hp MK1 I have. And, tons more modification potential
for additional power if one wanted.
