[Vwdiesel] passat swap info needed

i am trying/wanting to put a 1.9 non tdi turbo from a 91 jetta, into a 93 passat, manual trans.  it has been suggested that i use a 02a trans from a tdi. I am hoping to confirm that information here and get a little more info like years the 02a was produced.
it also has  been said that rear, pass engine mount would need to be changed to the mk3 tdi mount. 
it sits in the engine bay like it wants to move toward the driver side frame rail and it has been suggest that if i wantedto use the 020 trans, that i would need to modify the driver side frame rail (cut and reweld)
