And how many of us have one of these elusive belly pans from a 1982 or 83 diesel vanagon????
I saw one 15 years ago at a small junkyard near me and I went back on 3 different occasions to try and get it. I could only go on a Saturday and they never had time to lift the van up for me, finally, the van was gone.

With the belly pan intact, it probably does ok, but there are still open
areas and the rear wheels are throwing things at the engine. That also
does nothing about broken alt/water pump belts.
