[Vwdiesel] Wheel gap?

  I could check the pickup if that'd help ('81).  I put new springs on it sometime last year so it should be pretty close to correc.  However it's running 13's but then, the OD should have to be close regardless since there aren't many options for speedometer gears, for correction.
  I do recall that they often look awfully big (the gap from the top of the tire to the wheel arch).

My son and I are having a visual problem with my 82 Jetta.  He thinks that the 
heel gap on the front end is much too large and that there may be something 
rong with the struts or springs on the car.  Here is where you can help.  If 
ou are running 14" wheels on your A1, please measure the wheel gap with a ruler 
nd let me know what you get.  It does look like a huge gap on my car but my son 
s used to lowered cars so he doesn't have a sense of what "normal" gap is and I 
eally don't have anything to compare it to.  Thanks for the help.
