I had a bunch of crazy wiring behaviors with my Jetta TD that all stemmed from corrosion and shorting across connections in the tail light bulb holder assembly.  Found it with a multimeter, fixed it with a replacement assembly.  Bad grounds in the trunk area behind the trunk liner near the wheel wells also caused strange light behavior.

So, I hope to tackle the mysterious glowing turn signal indicator light on Saturday before I jump on a plane and head to Denver for a convention early next week.  As I said in the previous post, the light glows as soon as the key is turned into the on position and stays on all the time.  It isn’t a full on light, just a glow that is not easily seen in daylight but is obvious at night (same kind of glow some people get with the water separator on the later models on the glow plug light).  Once you activate the blinker, the glow stops, or if I honk the horn the glow goes out as long as the horn is activated or when I activate the emergency brake the glow goes out for just a few seconds.  My first idea would be a bad ground somewhere but anyone have any suggestions of where to start looking?  Hayden
