that is the way to go then, any chance you have the part #.  http://www.1stvwparts.com/ would be cheaper then dealer and mail order.  They can get any deal only part.  I think they are a vw dealer??

The actual VW glowplug relay socket is available from VW for $16 or so.
I've bought several new ones for vanagon turbo-diesel conversions.
