[Vwdiesel] Hot to fill injection pump when it is off the car.

How do I do this? I tried to suck it thru the pump by placing filtered line in bottle of ATP and connecting to the input and then putting mityvac on output and pumping it. Did not work.Tried to use a syringe to fill thru the input, nope. Tried to use syringe and fill thru output, nope. At a loss. Thanks.
