[Vwdiesel] Current for Heated Seat?

Don't think you could do this off the old 65amp alt, would need at least a 90amp alt. from the A2 or newer vw's
I agree, heated seat would be better for the wife then rear window defogger.

Great thread!  Got me digging around the web and I found some heated seat kits for <$60 for BOTH seats!  :-)  I may just have to do that on a car or two.  Might even do one on Dad's tractor seat for snow plowing!

andom guy measured his seat at 5A.  I assume that's at full power.
However.. IIRC leather vs cloth is different (leather has less power).

As the heat is turned up, does it vary the duty cycle, or does it vary the
current?

Thanks.  The car is not here to measure it on, and if it were, I am too
lazy
to run out and test everything (actually warming up from the last job).
