[Vwdiesel] Current for Heated Seat?

Seems like they concluded the VW ones use about 5A. Didn't check the kits for specs...
My wife makes sure to clear EVERY window before she'll drive off, even the back left, which you obviously can't see out of. If there's one bit of ice, the defroster comes on. I think she'd take the defroster over the heated seats actually.
Me? I just make sure the outside mirrors and front windows are clear and I'm good. All you get in a cargo van anyway so works in a car too. The rest clears off before I can get into traffic.

Don't think you could do this off the old 65amp alt, would need at least a 90amp alt. from the A2 or newer vw's
I agree, heated seat would be better for the wife then rear window defogger.

Great thread! Got me digging around the web and I found some heated seat kits for <$60 for BOTH seats! :-) I may just have to do that on a car or two. Might even do one on Dad's tractor seat for snow plowing!
