Raymond,
U could try online for parts, I've used mk1autohausz for instance. I'm not sure what the
brand was, Sure sounds like you have a failed headgasket.

hello all, i found a
thermo by walher that i had purchased several years ago,
still in the wrapper and so i will use that.
several of yall have suggested a rubber valve
cover gasket, who's brand do u recommend for the valve
cover gasket,. i have seen only cork.
something that has me concerned is there is
some oil that leaked from the middle of the head where it
meets the block, i don't see any other signs of a head
leak other than it has run a little hotter that usual though
i had theorized that i had maybe damaged the thermostat when
the cooling fan failed over the summer and it first ran a
little hotter. i don't see any oil in the coolant or
discolor (white exhaust) or operational difference. i have
had to occasionally added some coolant that i attributed to
the thermostat.i was going to have a local mechanic do the
thermo though i am thinking i should first have him
pressurize the system to look for leaks. any other thoughts
from the group on this one.
