[Vwdiesel] Egt for 1.6td

Any specific max temperature drop specification pre to post turbo must take
into consideration the max boost (or better yet, max E.M.T.) that someone
is running and the efficiency of the turbo. It is, at best, misleading to
give a specific max temperature drop without giving at least those two
factors.
The temperature drop from pre to post turbine will be somewhat greater than
but similar to the temperature rise pre and post compressor. Obviously if
one person is boosting 15 psi, and another is boosting 10 psi, then their
pre and post compressor temps and the pre and post turbine temps will be
dramatically different. Similarly, one person running a dinky GT15 and
another running a laggy K24 will see quite different pre/post turbine and
pre/post compressor temps.
Since the pre-turbine temp is far more important than the post turbine temp
and the only reasonable way to determine the difference would be to run
both and compare on each specific turbo setup, I've always found it much
easier to just install it pre-turbine...
