Shalyn,
In the big picture, it is one inconvenience.
I've beendoing allot of parts orgering from lots of different places, and
about 50% arrives on time.
If you were closer, I could just hand you my spare seal, (grin) as I have spare
crank and cam seals.
I remember my first clutch job. I was 18, living on my own, doing the repair
in an apartment complex parking lot, while the management looked the other
way. The people in my building thought I was nuts. The pavement was
rail road ballast, and I had boards and plywood to support jacks and keep
my back safe from multibruising.
You are doing well, and this is just a little upset. Besides you are saving
lots over having someone else do the job, and you are learning and becoming
one with your VW.
Hang in there, as there could be much worse, and more complex things.
