[Vwdiesel] Vanagon question

Agree, the 1.9NA or 1Y engine was in a Polo in Europe or maybe a Golf/Jetta in Canada only.
I am going to be selling mine as a complete long block is anyone is interested.  60K on it. Bryan Belman, Pt. Well there were a boatload of 1.9 gas water-boxer engines, but the only
diesel option ever imported by VW to North America was the 1.6 non-turbo.
In Europe the diesel options also included the 1.6TD, and 1.7 non-turbo.  I
do not believe that the vanagon came stock with any 1.9 diesel engines
anywhere in the world.
