[Vwdiesel] Vwdiesel Digest, Vol 152, Issue 7

Got easy side (drivers side) to move by jacking up the rear corner and prying a board against the tire.
Not so much on the riders side! Tried same board but no movement. Switched 2 12' 4X4 and no luck from either side. Removed tire and outer wheel bearing. The top of the drum moves but not the bottom. Got a three jaw puller. What do i need to watch out for using a puller? I'm concerned about breaking the inner edges of the drum with the puller. I plan to put two jaws toward the bottom where the frozen part of the drum appears to be.

> Trick is, you don't get much to turn on with the rim off, so good luck with that. I put in one lug bolt, wedged a prybar about 3' long between it, and the snout on the brake drum. bent the lug bolt, but was able to get it to turn reluctantly to get a bolt hole lined up enough to pop the adjuster wedge up. Then it was good. Repeat for other wheel. Lotsa bending on the lug bolt, so be prepared for a sacrifice, but it's necessary to break it free it seems, unless you drill some holes in a piece of flat to bolt on more than one.
