Tire recco for Coupe Quattro

Hi!

One of the OEM tires(Dunlop Sport D8) in my Coupe Quattro
punctured(Right Rear) because of a metal piece embedded in it. Sigh...
Anyway, as it turns out, the Left rear tire is worn out pretty badly
on the inside also. I guess poor alignment is the culprit. Even the front
tires are quite worn out, though not as unevenly as the rear one. At
19,450 miles, it seems to match David Wagner's experience with his OEM
tires which lasted 21,000 miles.  

I understand that the Bridgestone RE71 Potenza is a good tire, but being V
rated, it does not come with a warranty(according to the salesman at
Firestone)? Although on the other hand, the new Bridgestone Turanza
tires in spite of being V rated, have a 40,000 miles warranty and are
cheaper than the RE71's. Any experiences with either tires, and any
recommendations? Would I be compromising the sporty nature of the
Coupe Quattro by going for anything less than RE71? Since, I will be
changing all four tires, and the front ones are not worn out too
badly, is there a policy of "credit" for the "good" tires? Also, would
it hurt if I replaced only ther rear tires and held off buying all
four tires? 

The reason I am looking at RE71's is because of Eliot's observations
based on a  test conducted by Performance Car magazine... But if folks
have used others and would recommend some other tire I would consider
those also! ;-) 

Also, any recommendations (pros and cons) about ordering from Tire Rack?
