Re: Book Info Wanted

Here is yet another source for Quattro info:

Automobile Quarterly, Q3 1981

They have an excellent article on Audi history and development
of the Quattro.

There is also an article on the Pininfarina Quartz, a show car
based on the Quattro. It debuted to rave reviews are the Geneva
'81 Auto Show. Here is a brief excerpt:

.....The Quartz is Pininfarina's version of one of the most
impressive performance cars ever made, the Audi Quattro,
which is also featured in this issue of Automobile Quarterly.
The latest triumph of Ferdinand Piech, grandson of
Ferdinand Porsche, the Audi Quattro is proof that "heritage"
is not a meaningless word.....

I believe that the Aztec show car was also based on the Quattro.
(not mentioned in this book)

I'm pretty sure that this is also available from _Classic Motorbooks_.

Did you know that Audi build the *FIRST* mass-produced
front-wheel-drive car, the DKW, way back in 1931?
