I think you can forget that idea. The body shell is different between
the FWD and the quattro models. The shape and size of the center
tunnel, the entire rear suspension and its mounts, etc., are all
different. This is just the fundamentals. I can go on about the
transmission and driveshafts, axles, brake system, eletricals, differential
lock system, and all the other gory details, etc, etc...
It's far cheaper to just buy a quattro.
