5000 sunroof

Netters --

This weekend I replaced the sunroof mechanism on my 86 5000S.  It wasn't too
bad a job, but it did take 4.5 hours (i'm fairly slow).  The real trick is in
adjustments,

Anyway, I recommend replacement with a used unit as a viable option to
fixing your broken mechanism.  You will absolutely need a copy of Bentley --
don't try it without the book (you won't know how to adjust it).  Used
complete m,echanisms are available from PAP for $75.  You get everything
but the motor assembly and the "lid."
