If it's not one thing, it's another, Re. '87 5000s

New, actually I think the problem has existed but now the other problems
are gone, this one sticks errr leaks out to be exact.

The car is leaking auto transmission fluid only after sitting still for a day
or two.  I guess if my wife drives it everyday, the fluid stays more viscous
and does not leak as much.  The leak is from somewhere just over the 
exhaust side of the car and the transmission fluid actually gets onto the
beginning of the exhaust pipe after coming down from the header.

The leak isn't too bad except when the car is parked in the garage, the
heat from the exhaust vapories the transmission fluid and gives out a not
so pleasant smell.  I cannot see the leak from the bottom of the car, and
I think it is some where higher up on the transmission on the passenger 
side of the car, as I said before, just over the exhaust pipe.

Does anyone know what I should be looking for ??  The car otherwise
drives fine and sounds fine, I do check the transmission fluid often
just to make sure the fluid level is O.K.
