Noisy lifters

        This has baffled me for a long time now and hopefully someone
        can make sense out of this for me. As most of the people with a
        4000CS Quattro my lifters are noisy when the oil level is low.
        Why? If I have oil pressure then I have oil pressure, right?

          Good question! I don't know why. I guess you would really
          need a "Real" (Tm) oil pressure guage to verify that the
          oil pressure is as it should be in the "low oil level"
          scenario. Prehaps it is low, but not low enough to light
          the "it's too late light" or sound the "break out the VISA
          card buzzer".
