          Your points are all well taken and very valid. I agree 100%
          that the *average* driver is well served by ABS, Torsen
          automatic diffs, "traction control" etc. I don't know if
          the "average" Audi driver is "average" though, if you know
          what I mean. I admit right up front that I'm very biased on
          this issue. I look at things through rally-colored glasses.
          If I had all the $$$ in the world and could participate in
          racing at any level, it would be Pro Rally. I'm hardly an
          impartial opinion on this issue. Personally, I prefer
          to have as much control as possible, without intereference
          from "automatic" features, that in my view, take *away* from
          my control. I guess that's why they make both vanilla *and*
          chocolate.   :)
