Fuel Pump Problems





          I would say that sludge is not a common problem. I wouldn't
          rely on additives either, if you know for sure that there is
          contamination in there, the entire system, tank and all
          should be completely flushed. There might also be a
          pre-filter before the pump in your car that might need to
          be replaced. If the pump sounds like it is stopping and
          starting you might want to try swapping the fuel pump realy.
          Most important, again, be sure that the entire system is
          surgically clean and perhaps invest in a locking fuel cap.
