Re[2]: tire info sought
My '90 Coupe Q manual recommends 185/70 R14s for winter driving. This should
have the same approximate rolling diameter as the 205/60 R15s to not affect the
speedo. The biggest concern in going to a smaller diameter rim will be having
enough clearance for the fron brake calipers. I think the coupe came with
larger front brakes (from the 100?) so this should not present a problem.
I believe the 14 inch VW rims should fit (similar offset). I paid about $55.
US for a steel rim from the Tire Rack last winter for my old scirocco.

I run 185/70/14's in winter on my 87 5000. I seen some of the new 100's
ship with 195/65/15's.
