Sorry, I missed the original posting, so I hope this is relevant.  Sometimes
hoses get longitudinal cracks in the inside.  You can tighten them quite a bit 
without stopping the leak.  If this is an orginal hose, try replacing it.
(I have a similar problem on the radiator to expansion tank hose on my '86, but 
since it leaks teaspoonfuls per month, I've been lazy.....)
