My sympathies. If I'd had any sense, I'd have had the job done on my car too, 
but I am glad for what I learned while doing it.

I've always thought that one of the good things about having an older 5000 and 
doing the work myself is that it allows me to rationalize buying lots of tools!  
(hope you bought "the correct bit.")

Gosh, think of how much money I saved working on this car myself! And think how 
much poorer I'd be if I bought a car that doesn't break at all! :-)
