I think those are for the 5000/100 series, which have a sensor to tell
you when your brakes are worn.  To my knowledge, the 90 doesn't have
this.  

Any Beck/Arneley dealers around you?  Their stuff is usually German
OEM and pretty good too.  You could always get Repco semimetallics
or Metalmasters too (but check the VW archives on the latter - you
may not like the way they perform when cold).
