Actually they weren't noise supressors. The relays were to keep a
constant voltage. I have to use the same type of relays on my '68 Bronco
when I installed high watt H4 headlights. The original wiring would not
handle the lights. Using a voltage relay, it kept the wires from frying,
while keeping the voltage consistant to the lights.
Also, have you considered using an amplified antenna? My quattro came
from the fact with an amplified antenna. Or possibly use a dual antenna
setup?
