Lousy reception with aftermarket stereo in Audi -Reply

When I installed a stereo in my Quattro, the stereo guy used 6 or 8 relays
to isolate the system. Apparently, the system has lots of power surges
which affects reception. For instance, he noticed a major jump in the
system every time the radiator fans kick on.  

Relays are also a must when you put an alarm on. The power fluctuation
used to set off my VSE/DerringerII system all the time.
