I find the wind noise coming thru and around the doors on a Taurus the most
disturbing, plus it's almost deafening in the rear seat of the sedan. But
one will only notice it if one has driven cars such as Audis which are
well-insulated and sealed.

I would NOT recommend an aftermarket CD. The available Audi/Bose
system is one of the best systems available anywhere and is fully
integrated with the CD changer option. The head is made by Blaupunkt
and has better FM and tape sections than virtually any other head unit,
according to a recent test in auto, motor, und sport. Also, because of
the dashboard radio auxiliary display and integrated speaker/amplifier
units, installing an aftermarket head could be quite difficult, plus you
would void the warranty of all surrounding and connected parts. In this
case, installing an aftermarket system is neither cheaper nor better,
just ugly.
