RE: Timing Belt on 80Q
On my 90 the crankshaft pulley had to be removed to install new belt. It
requires
over 200ft-lb torque. I jammed a big screw driver in the ring gear (stick
shift) to
lock the pulley. It worked OK but I do not recommend it. I would invest
in getting
the correct tool to lock the ring gear. Also I placed a jack stand under
my extension bar/wrench/breaker bar assembly to keep the wrench aligned
with the bolt.
Good luck,
David
