While replacing my fuel pump, I ruined the fuel line at the fuel pump banjo joint
connector. I was told that these things were not repairable, but I cut off the
damaged part of the plastic fuel line and stuck the plastic hose onto the brass
connector. It has worked ok now for several months. I worry about it though.
The local dealer wants $40+ for a new hose with banjo fittings at both ends.
I think from now on I will pay for an hour's labor to make sure my fuel line
is solid. High pressure gasoline sprays onto your working environment tend to
recalibrate your money-saving priorities....
