That's a Fluke 97.

John Fluke Co makes higher end hand held electronic test equipment and the
97 is their latest endeavor.  Basically a hand held dual trace oscilloscope
(plots voltage against time).

The idea as a diagnostic tool is that each electrical component has a
characteristic waveform that can be identified and analyzed more accurately
with a scope than with say a digital volt ohm meter or the car's computer
self diagnostics.

The 'secret' activities of everything from air flow sensors to ABS wheel
sensors to radio outputs to optical distributors can be 'seen', memorized,
measured & shared over the net.
