Hmm, I wish that somebody was reimbursing me for milage, I'd make a
killing. Here's what I figure for my audi.
I bought it for $400 in 5/94
I've driven almost 10,000 miles at 25mpg at 1.20$/gallon =$480
$30 on oil
$35 on filters
$400 for insurance(barebones liability $50,000 limit for 6 months)
$43 registration(I should divide this in two for half a year, but who cares)
$6 inspection(ditto)
that all adds to $1394
the blue book value of my car is now $375 so my net expenses are
$1019 which is under $.10 per mile.
Please tell me if I am forgetting something.
If someone was paying me $.82 a mile I would have $7000
that's enough for 17 more cars.
Of course my '81 5000 diesel doesn't quite have the pickup of a V8
quattro, but I don't have to pay for speeding tickets either. :)
