Eminently sensible - but I've no idea what the boost should be!
I checked out the Bentley books at Foyles - none seem to be relevant to this
machine at all. Do they have anything for 1988 2.2 ur-quattros? The closest
I've seen yet is LPV 800 601 "Audi 80, 90, Coupe Quattro Official Factory
Repair Manual" - but it doesn't mention my vehicle and specifically states that
all Coupe references (which would otherwise be the closest) refer to the 20v.
I'm beginning to think this model was never officially imported into the US.
This is confirmed by the entry in ur_quattro_specs as "second major revision"
in 1988 (200bhp, water-cooled turbo, torsen differential, Pirelli P700s, it
all fits); if US imports stopped in 1985 there may simply not be a Bentley
manual for it.
I've written off to the UK owners club, and I've got someone going to
Ingolstadt next week armed with the VIN and engine numbers to prise a set of
German documentation out of them.
