Re: CPU-controlled '88 ur-Quattro WG?

Hi glen. I've done *lots* of playing with the boost on my 86 5000CSQ. I too
first played with the WG spring and flirted with the automatic shutdown.
Currently, I'm running about 12 lbs of boost (1.8 bar on the display). I have
the computer controlled valve disconnected. I have also "modified" the pressure
sensor in the CPU to prevent shutdown. I set the new shutdown boot level to
~12.5 lbs of boost. Anyhow, I also get the same partial throttle power surges
you mentioned. My guess is it's caused by the ignition timing being adjusted
on the fly. I never see the knock light come on unless I use cheapo gas.
