thanks.

I've got the strut bearings coming with the order. I'll check into
the condition of the control arm bushings. I've also got to fix a
torn CV joint boot. It was 'reported' to me by an oil change type.
Didn't bother to tell me which one though. I'm sure to have a
question or two when I find which one it is.

I can let you know later on the costs. As for the exhaust, I merely
replaced the rear resonator with a Borla and replaced the muffler (in
front of the cat) with a turbo-something glasspack. The exhaust is
noticeable, but not overly loud. The Borla is stainless, but nothing
else is. When the pipe goes, I'll do the remainder of the system with
stainless. Maybe even a header. The exhaust costs to date have been
less than $350.

I believe Glen said that he put a straight pipe (w/ cat) into a Super-
trapp exhaust on his 4000Q. I've got one on my KTM 620 (4 stroke single)
and it is _very_ tuneable. I've got the jetting set a bit lean at sea
level (where I live) so it will richen up where I ride. I can adjust
the mixture further by changing the number of plates.

As for the 4000Q, since it has FI and is using lambda as the feedback
element, you should reach a point where you max out. What I mean is
that you cannot get any more air through the engine (w/o a turbo), so
you reach a point of 'saturation'. Dunno where that point is - I expect
one could spend alot of money to find out. =8)
