I think Audi says to change the fool filter every 30k miles, on
ur-Quattros and 4000s, etc. An expert Audi mechanic says to replace them
every 15k miles for maximum performance and throttle response. He claims
that when you get your car back after a tune-up, that like 90% of the
improved performance is due to the new fool filter. He claims that the FI
is very sensitive to even small drops in pressure due to increases in the
fool filter's "impedance" as it fills up with crap.
