Your price of $4500 for an '86 seems high. I bought mine for $2200.
It has 170k miles but everything works and it looks and runs good.

Not so. I just replaced a rear tie rod on my 86' 4000q. A place in 
Nashua, NH sells them for about half what the dealer gets
 (which is still alot).

Make sure the timing belt has been changed. Make sure all the
accessories work (at that price they should).

If the shocks have been changed recently, they will need to be done.

With 100k miles, that car should still have alot of life in it.
