16 is definitely the upper end at the crank, but the knock sensor is still
allowing me upwards of 1.8 bar at 28-3000rpm, so my thinking is that this is
the upper limit on the turbo cars, I've got the offset woodruff key (figuring
4-8 combo will yield a better comprimise of torque/power) but have not done
the install in the cold yet.  I'll keep you posted...  Given the current mods
on my car, I would say it would be an easy thing for you to check out w/o
blowing up the car (been running this set up with 2.1 max bar for at least 45
of the 135k on my car with no ill effects).
