RE: 1993 90CS

I have an 88, 90 (5 cylinder) and have to admit that the 5 bangers exhibit
the
same behavior. My wife has a 89, 535 and there is no argument which one
is the "sport" car in the house hold This is true even with her car
having auto tranny and being heavier than my 90 with 5 speed.

I don't think Audi's are cars that impress people on the first drive.
 Whenever
I lend the audi to my brothers I hear criticism about soft suspension,
vague steering
and not enough oomph at lower RPM. I think the earlier 300E (2.6l)
 mercedes
suffers from the same problem (a friend of mine had one). One begins
to apreciate these cars when they drive them for a while...

Given that my car has ~130hp I am rather impressed with its overall
performance
and its cruising ability. I feel the inferior fit & finish are comparable
or even
superior than 3/5 series bimmers.

Take care,

David
