To add more fuel to the debate...while I have raced in the past (when half
my present age) I haven't the experience with different engines to lend a
truly weighty opinion...HOWEVER...a friend/mechanic/race car
driver/mechanic with years of experience on the track that most of us can
only dream of and skill in the shop that we can only envy is adamant that
the VW VR6 is "crap" compared to the Audi V6, commenting that the Audi 90S
will just flat out run away from a Passat or Corrado with a little
suspension tweaking because the Audi engine is "much stronger".

Just HIS not-so-humble opinion, but one that I absolutely trust.
