I agree that a larger tire will create inner fender rubbing, depending on
the offset of the wheel used. But on my 4000 q it was the lower spring
housing that actually shaved the inner inch and a half off my rear tires
after about 2,000 miles of mixed company in the rear seat (The number was
mixed, not the type of people...althought if you met some of my friends,
.....)
Up front, the mis-size caused the tires to rub the wheel well at full lock,
and to scrape the lower control arm backing out of a parking space.
I learned.....it took some time, but I learned...
