Info on the A4

I'm looking for a new car and quite interested in the A4 Quattro.  The
problem is that the local dealers (Southern California) don't have much
information on the A4, in fact one of them thought that the car was
available in the US market already and another hadn't ever heard of the
model!

Are there any European owners out there that can provide me with some
impressions?  Have there been any reviews in the press (I've seen the
one in last month's European Car)?  Any other info available?

Please excuse me if this has been discussed before as I've just joined
the list and didn't see anything in the archives.
