Don't expect miracles, but it should help, yes.
I just ordered 2 qts of it from Stranos at $7.50/qt for my GLI.
If it arrives today I'll put it in tomorrow and let you know how
it feels compared to the 'Synthoil' brand in my tranny now.

Try to call Redline and make sure you're getting the right stuff, they
make several different synthetics.

In the case of my GLI, it takes 80w GL-4, so MTL is OK.
Oh, the Audi synthetic lube is supposed to be very good too.
I certainly can't complain about the gearbox in my 90.
