epoxy is a no...  The working pressure of a pump is about 22-2400psi...  ZF
at 300.00 is available thru your audi dealer (this is an exchange part btw),
not sure you could get a "new" one if you wanted one...  The screen mesh
should be cleaned, but make sure you flush the bolt and screen with HF after
cleaning with brake cleaner, any foreign solvent will easily break down the
HF.  BTW, didn't find any residue in the screen when I did mine, even after
replacing the low pressure hose...
