HVAC Problems

ALL,

<<It is the climate control on a 1990 90. ... The control head plus the
programing unit may need to be replaced.

Is there anyone on the net has experience with this?>>

I haven't worked on the 90 system, but I have experience with GM systems
(I work in the Cadillac HVAC dept. - my '86 5KCSTQ has a Caddy Electronic
climate control; my boss worked on it for Audi) and I think that if you go
through the manual carefully, and check out each of the sensors in the HVAC
system, you will find the problem. It is very unlikely that the control head or
programmer need to be replaced.

The symptoms you mentioned lead me to think that the temperature door
actuator is inoperative. Check out the linkage/cable/motor that adjusts the
temp door. Then use the self diagnostics (you really need the manual to
interpret this info) to check out the temperature sensors (both in-car and
outside) and then check all of the other sensors.

	Good luck.
